Cassandra,

I applaud you for your strength. I get really antsy when I can't get on the internet. As a fourth year student about to graduate, I'm finding it harder and harder to concentrate on school and not get lost online (job searching, watching TV, surfing Twitter, etc).

Sometimes though, when I need to concentrate, I get someone I trust to change my passwords on my social media accounts so I stay off of them for a weekend. By the end of it I don't even want to look at Facebook that much. Also, I haven't been unproductive. It's like internet rehab!

I say get the internet back (mostly because I don't know how you can live without it!) but I understand the whole problem with being on it at work all day and coming home to it. Just make sure you have activities that take you out a few nights a week such as paying for special interest classes you need to attend (not the optional "show up to any classes this week" kind).

I'm moving to Toronto next September and I'm wondering how in a new city I'm going to find ways to get out of my house and away from the comforting glow of the computer screen. If you find any good service providers let me know!

Cassandra,

I was in the same boat at my old apartment but since moving in December I have actually been impressed with Bell's internet. If you don't do a lot of downloading their basic highspeed is cheap (30) and pretty quick. In the month or so we have had it, it hasn't crashed once.

Hope this helps.
