Hi, I’m Cassandra Jowett. I’m a 24-year-old writer and editor.

I like to tell stories and help other people tell theirs, whether it’s putting their voices inside quotation marks or cleaning up their sentences. I like to provide people with information, whether it’s up-to-the-minute news or more thoughtful, in-depth analysis.

Words are my passion. I’m a tough cookie. I try to laugh a lot, cry a lot and learn from it all. Life is hard, to be sure, but it’s so worth it.

I completed a Bachelor of Journalism in 2009, at Ryerson University in Toronto, and I currently work as Editor at TalentEgg.

I’m a news junkie and a constant learner. I’m not happy unless I’m consuming some kind of media. I love the idea of newspapers (what journalist doesn’t?), but I’m watching them die a slow, painful death from the sidelines as I jump into online media.

I like making up my own rules here. It’s kind of fun.
